That day we returned our car in Firenze. Shawn entertained us with a kendama show during our long wait in the train station. We finally got on our first train, then our second...and after many hours of travel we arrived in Monterosso. It was just as we had left it, in 2011. We stayed in a small apartment owned by our friends who also own the best hotel in town. They put us there because there was no room at the inn. The apartment, which we got to after climbing three flights of stairs, was just as nice as the hotel, but with more room and our own kitchen. Plus we still got to eat breakfast in the hotel every morning, and we could still walk to our favorite restaurant.
