Annabel I have had such a great time visiting you and spending your birthday week with you. I loved watching shows with you, laughing together, snuggling, hearing you play music, having meals out and in the hotel, shopping and seeing the gorgeous night sky and incredible mountains.
You are so precious to me. It is hard to put into words the love I have for you.
You are my teacher. You are my Divine gift. You are my sweet angel. No matter how old you become you will always be my precious child.
It's hard to believe you are twenty one, a young adult. Except for the fact that you are intellectually so brilliant that you run circles around me in many academic subjects! But you've been blowing me away since you got interested in Einstein at age eleven. So I'm used to it by now.
I have so much faith and hope for you. Always know how loved you are. Always remember how much you are loved by your family.
I'm so proud of you. I believe in you. I love you honey!
Forever love, Mom
Our family life in the tropics. Lots of music, art, gardening, cooking, traveling, ponderings, and joy. Creating memories, traditions
and hopefully some humor. Trying to give back as well.

reunited
Recently I jumped on a plane to see Annabel in California. We stayed at Amma's ashram. We had fun cooking, shopping and visiting friends around the Bay Area. I sure do love my girl.

for my children~stepping in
Two of you are now living out of the house part of the time. Hard to believe this time has come. But it has.
You are all growing up. You are all learning so much about life and yourselves. You are meeting lots of new people, and having new experiences.
As you go through life, remember, everything happens at the right time. It's not always exactly as we wish or think it should happen. But life is unfolding. The seed has to be under the ground for some time before it becomes a flower.
Try not to worry too much about figuring it all out, in terms of education and career path. Just follow your passions and interests and trust they will take you to the right places. Seek positive mentors.
You are all strong, capable, intelligent young people. You all have unique strengths and huge hearts. I am most proud of the kindness you have all shown over the years. It is a strength like no other.
Strong.
Smart.
Kind.
Those three words you all grew up hearing from Dad. It's important to have a balance of them all. You have all developed these qualities in spades!
And remember, step into your unique brilliance. No one else can do it for you. Shine on my sweet children. I love you all!

more about 2018 thus far
In February Sky visited us for a weekend with her boyfriend so he could meet the family. It was fun. I also went to visit her for a week during her spring break. We stayed at a friend's house near the beach. It was really relaxing hanging 1:1 with my girl. We took walks, cooked together, watched movies and talked a lot.
Shawnie was cruising through second semester of freshman year of high school. He reconnected with friends, got really into CAD, continued with gymnastics classes, went to the beach and had fun flying his new drone.
Annabel had her first job working at a pizza place. She visited with a friend she met last summer on her Nepal trip. She played in a band and also performed her original music a couple of times. She wrote a bunch of songs and played a lot of music.
I worked in my garden and harvested quite a few bananas and sweet potatoes.
Gary wrote some new songs too.
