Our family life in the tropics. Lots of music, art, gardening, cooking, traveling, ponderings, and joy. Creating memories, traditions
and hopefully some humor. Trying to give back as well.

murano

In order to get to Burano, one must first stop off in Murano.  So that is what we did. We took a boat to Murano and since we had all day, we decided to walk around Murano first before heading to our destination.  We had been to Murano years ago, where we visited the glass blowing factory.  So this time we just strolled the streets, taking in the sights.

I love how the old in Italy looks like art. Never been to either of the islands you mentioned.

What a pleasure to watch all your photos of Venice. This place is not far from France but I've never been there, it's a shame!! Thank you for sharing :)

the glass blowing factories are actually my favorite part of murano. burano was a bit of a disappointment last time i was there. i still remember it as a run down looking village, with tiny shops selling gorgeous, unique lace.
