Annecy, what a gorgeous lakeside town. Lots of walks, meals out, and a fabulous boat ride!
Our family life in the tropics. Lots of music, art, gardening, cooking, traveling, ponderings, and joy. Creating memories, traditions
and hopefully some humor. Trying to give back as well.

corner view~before and after
Before we were in France...
Now we are in Italy!
More photos of France and Italy coming soon. For now I am enjoying a hiatus from easy internet access as we hike, explore several tiny towns, and swim in the Ligurian Sea. You should see the rocks on the coast here. Every shade of green, plus white, black, terra cotta, light pink. Some are jagged, some are rounded, but all are softened from the tossing waves. I can hear the water right now from my open window. Our hotel is right across from the beach. I love France, but Italy is such a beautiful country!
Yes, we are having a holiday...
Happy week to all of my corner view friends, and sorry this is late.

paris
We stayed in a sweet apartment in the Montmarte area, every day we took trains or metros and explored, and we walked the steps to the top of the Sacre Coeur for our meals. Annabel talked to some French boys (in English), but also both girls used their French when we ordered our food and went into stores.

old town alexandria
A day to explore this beautiful town on a perfect summer in Virginia day. Complete with shopping, dinner at a restaurant in a building built in the 1700's, watching the famous Jamey Turner play the glass harp, and some Skylar antics inside one particular French country summer house decorating store! Oh, and a couple of shots of the McLean farmer's market to boot.
